Scotch Plains–Fanwood High School Seniors, Billy Babis and Ian Johnston have embarked on a challenging mission. Their goal is to raise $50,000 to half-sponsor a home through Greater Plainfield’s Habitat for Humanity. As of Aug. 4, these enthusiastic young men have raised over $20,000 through the generous donations of corporations, friends, and family. Several fundraisers are planned to help them reach their goal. The first will be held at Scotch Hills Miniature Golf Course in Scotch Plains on Saturday, Sept. 17. Come out and play a round of golf from 10 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. and you will be supporting their cause. Save the date and be sure to come out and cheer on the Raiders Raising the Roof for Habitat. Scotch Hills Miniature Golf Course is on 820 Jerusalem Road in Scotch Plains.
