Habitat homes are built through the
generosity of donors and volunteers.
Your group's contribution helps to offset the cost of one day of building. Habitat of Greater Plainfield & Middlesex County receives a suggested donation of $2,500 for each adopted work day and can accommodate 10-12 volunteers per day.
Sponsoring a day or a full house allows us to purchase building materials, tools and everything needed to build more homes in partnership with more families. Once your team is signed up, we provide supervision and leadership on the build site. All you need to do is bring volunteers and be ready and willing to work!
What your donation supports:
Habitat Construction Supervisors will be on site with your group at all times to guide your group and the day's work.
Habitat provides safety equipment such as gloves, glasses, hardhats and harnesses when needed.
All Adopt-A-Day contributions help us to purchase necessary building supplies and materials for your group's build day.
Adopt-A-Day volunteers receive official Habitat T-Shirts and a picnic lunch.

The work your group does will stand as a permanent structure- a home for a family! All tasks get us closer to completing more homes.
Hands On Experience
Provide your group with the chance to take part in an active volunteer experience and learn some construction skills.
Your group will have direct contact with Habitat's work, staff, longterm volunteers and families that partner with Habitat for homeownership.
